An inversion scheme for the estimation of the physical parameters
dc.description.abstractof marine sediments from the pressure field measured in the water column, is presented. It is based on a global optimization technique called Genetic Algorithms. This report presents results obtained on synthetic and real data. An analysis of the uncertainties of the results is carried out to assess the reliability of the inversion.
